Blue and Green Monday

The blue and green quilt is back up on my design wall today.  I have sewn together all the center blocks and started piecing bits for the inner border and frames for the appliqué blocks.  But wait!  What is that monstrosity?  The one in the upper right corner?
Oh!  It's the result of Extreme Hubris, Inattention, Arrogance, and Egotistical Pomposity.  This is what happens when a block is designed in EQ7 and the designer of said block doesn't bother to really read the measurements but just goes ahead and starts cutting and sewing stuff together.
This is what it is supposed to look like.

Oooooh, pretty.

I haven't used EQ a lot, but I can see where that could happen since it gives you a blank block to start with. I'll have to file that away as something to remember.

Lovely Quilt. I'd say that "monstrosity" is a design challenge... And, I hate to say it but I don't see the "monstrosity" part. Just sayin' it looks great unless of course it makes the quilt go bigger than you want it to be.

Your quilt is beautiful. Is this your own design or a pattern you have been working from? Either way, your color choices are wonderful!

I love the colors too. I don't do EQ7 so I don't get what happened. But, I am sure you will cope. I really am enjoying watching your quilt in process.

Oh, thanks for the smile :) Although I'm sure you probably were kicking yourself at the time, it's nice to know we all do things like this :)
