Back to the BOM

My design wall shows a little progress on my BOM for 2011.  No, I didn't abandon it -- I've just been busy.  New are the fans block and the New York beauty.  I didn't sew the NY beauties together because I'm going to use them in the corners of the quilt.

And that's a compass in progress.

This was going to be my journal quilt for the May/June Color Palette Challenge.  I thought about using it for my Nook cover, but it didn't look right where it was going to have to be cut down.  So I didn't use it.  Now I'm not sure what to do with it.  I  could just finish it and have another mini-quilt -- but I was trying to make something more useful than that.  It's the wrong size for a journal cover.  So I suppose it's going to move to the "hmmm..." pile for now.

wow, beautiful blocks. The journal quilt is amazing. Would look fabulous with a vase of yellow flowers on it.

Your journal quilt is beautiful. I could see it as a cover for a diary or as Sue said, to sit a vase on. But too pretty to just sit in a pile.

Well you could... finish it and redo a bathroom for it, or you could give it away... to a reader... or charity... But the horse looks great!!! Your BOM blocks are looking good too.

Your BOM quilt is going to be fantastic. I just love the fussy cut sun faces in those blocks. The horse is so pretty too, I hope it comes out of the hmmm file soon.

First, the colors on your design wall are wonderful!! so vivid!! Now about that last piece..don't put it in the pile...think, think, think!! It has to be a cover for something and right now. It's way too cool to be put away!!
