With summer school a fading memory and middle school rapidly approaching, I needed a fun project for my daughter and I to do together. I saw this adorable Halloween cat fabric and a cute quilt made from it and thought it would be a really good project for us to do together.
Of course I cheaped out and didn't buy the pattern, so I had to make my own on EQ.
We had fun sewing the strip sets together. I did the cutting and she did most of the sewing.

I so appreciate people who can plan ahead. I am so bad. If I were to do a Halloween project I wouldn't start until the week before and would finish until the following year! Your's is so cute.
Very cute quilt. I still sew with my daughter -- not often as she has to keep up with my 1 yr old grand daughter but still like to as time allows. Some day I hope all three of us will sew together.
I love spending time sewing with my DD too.
No one to sew with here.... '(
The fabric is cute and time with kids is the best time, and you only have this one time- MAKE IT COUNT!!!
Great opportunity to get your daughter used to sewing! Love the cats.
Not sure I'll ever turn either one of my daughters into quilter but they like me to make them stuff! Looks like loads of fun to play with those cute kitties.
That is some darn cute fabric! This is turning out great. Plus quality time with your girl.
