Mag26 -- Cool Green Garden

Cool green in the garden
soft summer evening
the old stone wall rhyme
etched with mossy design

May I take your hand
as we walk alone together
under the darkening trees
in the cool garden green

No flowers here grow
those hothouse floozies
their raw fecundity immoral
in the garden's green cool

Fresh and creative. Thanks for posting. I think you may have meant "rime" instead of "rhyme."

I may be thinking (and smiling) all day about your last stanza.

Thanks, Jim!

Actually, no, I meant rhyme. Although rime would have worked nicely there too. Different meaning than the one I meant.

I had fun writing that last stanza.

Your lovely Magpie describes just how I thought this garden would look and feel.
