Sparkly Chickens and Pieceful Tigers

This week, my design wall sports the Sparkly Chicken blocks. I made a dozen blocks and swapped them with my friends from the Sparkly Chicken yahoo group. It took a while, but they're all here. Well, eleven chickens and a nest.

Now I have to connect them all together. I am thinking of using some wood grain fabric to look like a chicken coop and maybe a fox peeking out from the border on the side.

And for those of you who stopped by a couple of weeks ago and saw this on my design wall:
Here it is -- all sewn together -- with the #@!!$%@! borders and everything. The pattern (which I nominally followed) was "Pieceful Nights" by Lori Smith and it was a challenge to sew together -- all set-in seams and bias edges. But I did it. And I really like it. Now I just have to quilt it.

All of our 'chickens' look so well together!!! I think I may have to work on mine too.

Your "Pieceful Night" quilt is breath taking. I love to look at quilts with lots of tiny pieces, but I don't have the nerve to try one.
The sparkly chickens are really cute.

Your Feathered Star quilt is just wonderful! Worth all the fussing to get it together. The colors and fabrics bring it all together.

And the chickens are very cute. I am a chicken lover and have made many chicken quilt blocks over the years.

How clever your sparkle chicks are and they look so happy together surrounding the nest. Thanks for visiting my blog and your comment of encouragement. Keep creating...
